Dancing bear jive spills through my soul
paws slap the floor as drummers roll
A sweet honeyed horn paints the night
in vibrant riffs of bluesy light
freedom bursts forth from clear control

the dancers clump, then make a hole
through which rich, fat voices can bowl
belting out song with ursine might
dancing bear jive

the heart-racing pace takes its toll
impassioned musicians cajole
growls and cheers keep the pauses bright
bees humming, fur flying (no fight)
celebrating life this tune's goal
dancing bear jive
