The idea is this. We're gutting the room all the way back to the studs in the walls and rebuilding it. We're replacing the existing toilet with a white one, the existing tub with a white one, and moving the shower head and fixtures to the "other" wall (i.e. the inside wall facing the stairwell rather than the outside wall). First, this will make it easy to get at the plumbing from outside the bathroom should something break and, second, will give us about 6" of extra lenght, which we're making into a small, tiled, shower ledge.
We're going to tile the shower with white tiles and using a mosaic glass-tile as a border that will go around the tub and continue through the rest of the room. The room walls will have white-painted wainscoting on the bottom and be painted peach on top. The peach color is a little "brown", close to the color of the middle tile in the upper row of the glass moasic tile set (Mosaic Tile).
We're also going to expand the bathroom into the upstairs landing. We're going to build a wall out into the sitting area and place the new vanity/sink where the wicker bench used to be and then build in a closet where the sink/vanity used to be.
